From Saturday, October 1st 2005, casino and bingo players will no longer have to wait for 24 hours before they can become a member of a licensed bingo club or casino thanks to an amendment to the existing gaming legislation. For casinos provided you are aged 18 or over, all you will have to do is produce current proof of your identity – a passport, drivers licence or credit card plus a utility bill to become a member, and play, straight away. At English casino's the minimum age is 18, and a jacket and tie for men is always required. Gambling on credit and tipping are prohibited.
